Today marks the beginning of my second trimester of pregnancy. Praise the Lord!
Unfortunately, my "Nothing Tastes Good" button was not automatically switched off when I woke up this morning! Gee, I sure thought that was how it was going to work. (Please read the sarcasm in that statement, as it is very much intended to be that way!) But I certainly am looking forward to the day when that button does get punched and I can go back to enjoying my second favorite past-time. It is probably a good thing that the sweet tooth I have enjoyed as long as I can remember has apparently vanished. Perhaps that will help with the weight gain along the way. Speaking of weight gain, I wonder when that is going to start? As of today, I am 3 1/2 pounds lighter than the day of my first official OB visit a month ago. Nice, huh?
One good thing is that the constant headache I have been carrying around for the past 8 days seems to be easying up a little today. That is definitely a welcome change.
In other exciting news, we had a pretty successful opening weekend of deer season. PJ got a 7 point, Wesley got an 8 point, and Rooster (you'll have to refer to my aunt's blog "Sweet Caroline" to understand who that is) got a nice little 4 point. Now if only I can get around to getting in a stand!

I made an extremely sweet cake today...then remembered I can't taste anything with this dang cold!! If your sweet tooth comes back, you'll have to try it. I hear it's delicious! I can't remember when the weight gain starts. Hope the headaches get better soon.
